- Ema2sa at IEASA 2011 Conference. The ema2sa project was presented at the 15th annual IEASA Conference (31.08 - 03.09.2011). The conference on the impact of internationalisation on the quality of education was hosted by Durban University of Technology. - National pre-departure event. The European Union Delegation to South Africa invited everyone who has been awarded an Erasmus Mundus scholarship to a pre-departure event on August 5th, at the University of Cape Town. Representatives of the Department of Higher Education and Training and the different South African Higher Education Institutions were present.

- National pre-departure event! The EU Delegation to South Africa has invited everyone who has been awarded an Erasmus Mundus scholarship to a pre-departure event on August 5th, at the University of Cape Town. Tentative programme: 10:30/11:00 – 16:00: Networking; Sessions with the EU Delegation to South Africa, Department of Higher Education and Training, Department of International Relations and Cooperation; Lunch. From 19:00: Dinner with addresses by the EU Ambassador to South Africa, South Africa’s Minister of Higher Education and Training (or representative), a Vice-Chancellor or Deputy Vice-Chancellor, and others.

- Dear ema2sa community,
- Last week most results were sent out to the applicants. Congratulations to all grantees.
- We hope you will spend a rewarding time in Europe. In case you were selected or have received information you are on the reserve list, you will be contacted by the Leuven project team in the near future with all details regarding your ema2sa grant. Your local ema2sa team on campus will afterwards help you out with all administrative preparations.
- A very small number of files is still under the consideration of the Selection Commission, but decisions will be taken soon.
- For those applicants who have not been successful this first round, information about the reasons for not being selected can be obtained from the ema2sa coordinator. This may be helpful in case candidates would like to enhance their application for the upcoming ema2sa call in September 2011.
